Short answer

- Dial print. Check letter edges under a 10x loupe. Blurred or filled letters point to a replica.
- Date window. The disc should sit flush and center in the cutout.
- Crown. The logo relief has defined edges, not a soft blob.
Papers and price
IWC extends the warranty from two years to eight years for watches registered on My IWC, for purchases from 2019. A seller who cannot name the registration step or produce a card is a risk. A price 30 to 50 percent below market for the same model is a second flag.
Seller checks
Ask for a video that shows the seconds hand sweeping and the date changing at midnight. Ask for a service invoice with the reference and caliber printed on it. Ask which country the watch ships from. Refuse bank transfer and crypto.
